Message buyers

Use Messages to find order chats and inquiry threads, reply to buyers, and keep unread conversations visible.

Order chat

Order chat belongs to a specific order, so the conversation stays next to pickup, delivery, payment, and status context. Buyers can return through their chat link, and you can watch unread counts from Messages.

Email notifications are paced so active buyers are not emailed for every message, while inactive buyers still get a durable way back to the conversation.

Use the Messages inbox

Messages is the place to scan conversations across orders and inquiries. The unread badge in the seller navigation helps you notice buyer replies without opening every order one by one.

  1. 1Open Messages from the seller navigation.
  2. 2Choose a thread from the conversation list.
  3. 3Read the order or inquiry context before replying.
  4. 4Send a short, specific answer and move item choice, quantity, fulfillment, and payment back into the storefront when needed.
  5. 5Refresh or reopen the thread if a message fails to send.

Inquiry threads

Messages can also include inquiry conversations. Use them when a buyer needs an answer before ordering, then move final item choices and payment into the storefront when it is time to place the order.
