Glossary
A quick reference for the VibeKitchen words you will see across setup, menu, listings, orders, payments, and customers.
Core words
These are the product words that show up most often in Help and inside the seller dashboard.
- Storefront: the public ordering page buyers open from your link.
- Product: the reusable dish record in My Menu, with photos, price, ingredients, allergens, and other details.
- Listing: the orderable version of a product, with stock, timing, pickup, delivery, and capacity rules.
- Ready Now: a listing mode for food already made and available while stock remains.
- Made to Order: a listing mode for food prepared after the buyer orders, using prep time, requested-date guidance, or daily caps.
- Scheduled Batch: a listing mode for a planned drop with an order cutoff and pickup window.
- Order: the buyer purchase as it moves through payment, prep, ready, completion, cancellation, refund, or expiration.
- Notify Me Contact: a buyer contact collected when someone asks to hear about product availability.
Money and operations words
These words help separate routine order work from payment-account and reporting work.
- Payment Account: your Stripe payment setup and verification. It has to be complete before real checkout can work, and it makes you the merchant of record for your own sales.
- Service fee: the 5% + $0.50 platform fee. By default your buyer pays it on top of your price at checkout; you can choose to absorb it instead.
- Earnings: the seller nav area for payout-related summary information.
- Payout: money Stripe moves from your payment balance to your linked bank account. Stripe-hosted views may use Stripe’s own payout terminology.
- Payouts & Reports: payout records, orders, transactions, balance, reconciliation, and tax documents.
- Dispute: a chargeback a buyer files with their card issuer. The disputed amount, plus a dispute fee, is debited from your balance while it is decided, handled from the Disputes area.
- Pickup Board: the daily pickup surface for pickup orders expected today.
